Favourite Finds – Why we’re loving Jacqueline Evans

April 9, 2014

Jacqueline Evans Organic Beauty Products

You may recall, a little while ago Ruby wrote about one of her favourite finds of the moment – Jacqueline Evans Jojoba and Camellia Nut Balancing cream. Although this was our first experience with her products, we were quickly converted.

Well guess what beauties – we have more to tell!

A Conscious Beauty was fortunate enough to be gifted one of the Jacqueline Evans sample packs from the lovely lady herself. The set of four little sample pots can be bought from Jacqueline’s own store and are a fabulous way to get familiar with one her cleansers, a scrub and two of her moisturisers. As the products are rich in quality, you only need a little so they do last a couple of days.

Castille Cream Cleanser

The Castille Cream Cleanser is a ph-balanced cleanser suitable for every day use and all skin types.  It has been designed to remove makeup, residue and pollutants that can build up on our skin. The cleanser is rich and creamy, which is something I personally prefer in a cleanser as my skin can tend towards the sensitive side. This creamy texture certainly gives it an element of luxury and feels as though you are really caring for your skin, without leaving any residue. The fragrance of macadamia oil and lemongrass are very mild which is perfect for anyone that might be sensitive to smell.

Argan and Rosehip Moisturising Cream

As a new convert to Argan Oil, I was very excited to try this little number. With the addition of Rosehip, this moisturising cream screams nourishment and that’s exactly what you get. You may recall we talked about Rosehip Oil a little while back, an oil full of essential fatty acids, Vitamin’s A and E and C make it perfect for repair and rejuvenation. The cream is rich and lush, goes on easily, but you won’t need much due to it’s richness. As suggested on her site, this is definitely one more suitable for dryer or mature skin types. It would also be a lovely cream to use at night to repair while you get your beauty sleep.

Chamomile and Walnut Scrub

The Chamomile and Walnut Scrub is a luxurious scrub perfect for the face and neck. Depending on your own skin and how many time you need to exfoliate, you can use this product 2 to 3 times per week. I used the entire pot of this scrub over a 10 day period and loved how it made my skin feel. I’ve used scrubs in the past, however, this scrub felt a lot gentler on my skin. The smell is subtle, the granules are large and the texture was slightly thick, all of which added to that luxury feeling. To scrub your whole face, only a 5 – 10 cent piece size is needed.

Jojoba and Camellia Nut Balancing Cream

Wow, this cream smells divine! It was a joy to use this every morning as it was light and really easy to apply. I replaced my normal day cream and used this balancing cream over a week and a half / two week period. On Jacquline’s site, it is recommended for oily skin as Beta Carotene, the core active ingredient, contains antioxidants and fights blemishes. Skin protection and elasticity are boosted via vitamins and essential fatty acids included in the cream.
