Lindsay of Bouv Studios on trusting your gut and creating space to grow your side hustle into a full-time business

March 5, 2019
Lindsay Bouvier is a dear friend and I’m very excited to bring you her “switch” story today, in particular the lessons she’s gained from starting her business. Lindsay honestly shares what lead her to leave the fashion industry, and the path that took her to the company where she and I first met over 2 years ago – lululemon.

As Lindsay mentions, the choice to start her own creative branding agency was not an overnight decision. Instead, she took the time to test and experiment various ideas (one of which I was a part of back in 2017) alongside her full-time job.

Slowly but surely, her business grew as she built stronger connections with potential clients, and hopes to go full-time in her business in the coming year.

How the birth of her second child, sparked her most innovative business yet with Rosie Drumbell

February 15, 2019
Meet the stunning Rosie Drumbell, founder of Lenny Rose Active.

Rosie and I first connected when I was working with lululemon and she owned her previous business Rise Yoga.

Now a busy mother of two young boys, Rosie has set her sites on carving out her niche in the activewear world.

With a background as both a yoga teacher and physiotherapist, Rosie sees this new venture as so much more than the clothing. Her desire is to use the brand as a way of educating women around movement pre and post pregnancy, as well as support women’s changing bodies.

She’s bold and brave and today I wanted to share her story, as it reveals that in any phase of life – anything is possible and you might just get your best idea yet!

How she went from a career in fast fashion to creating a business built on purpose

January 16, 2019
Bec Ampt is the founder of The Conscious Creative Studio.

Through her a multi-faceted approach, Bec is truly committed to those she works with, delivering a beautiful product that is a culmination of her experience, purpose, passion and grit.

But as you’ll find out, she lay down the foundations in the corporate space with some of Australia’s most well-known brands – before leaping out on her own.

Despite only connecting face to face a couple of times, I regard Bec as a true friend. She’s one of those women that reminds you that we’re all in this entrepreneurial game together.

By definition “The Switch” series is about: everyday women making radical changes in their life towards purpose driven work, like the other women that have come before her in this series, Bec shows that purpose driven work evolves over time. It’s not always an instant switch.

I truly admire this woman’s courage to work step by step by step at something she wholeheartedly wants and believes in.

Four Steps To Activate Dreams and Goals – Third We Express

November 29, 2018

Don’t you love the energy of Summer? Our goal or creative project is in full swing.

We’re humming along like honey bees.

If you’ve been following this series about The Dream Activator strategy, you’ll know that in Part One we decided.

Part Two we planned the steps.

Part Three – well, we simply need to keep going.

Now is the appropriate time make some noise – if you haven’t already.

Pull out that party dress and celebrate, raise the roof and let the world know what you’re creating or have created.

You’ll notice the energy of this period has a fun kind of intensity to it. Winter is intense too, but in a different way. They are polar opposites on the energy and creativity spectrum.
