Four steps to activate dreams and goals – first we ignite

November 16, 2018

What does goal setting have to do with seasons, and winter for that matter?

First, I want you to cast your mind’s eye back to winter.

Depending on your hemisphere – right now, this feeling may be very familiar, or it may feel distant.

The frozen air, dark over light, coolness, the warm feeling of climbing into bed at night for rest, the feeling of turning inwards. It’s slow, perhaps even still and often a reflective time.

You may not realise it, but the process of taking an idea, something that might be a seed and bringing it into reality, is the exact process that we have in seasons, with the moon and as women with our menstrual cycle.

As you scroll, you might be thinking “but I’m not very familiar with the moon cycles, seasonal living, and even this idea of tracking my monthly cycle” and that’s completely okay!

For this process, we don’t need to be doing any of those things in detail – however, if your curious to know more I will provide some additional resources within the program.

This process has been designed to innovate goal setting for women (and men).

And introduce you to some concepts that will help you to bring more flow, more ease to your ambitions.

It’s about learning how to take action, make goals happen in line with our natural energy cycles. This process might be the permission you need to be “off” occasionally instead of “on”.  To move, work and create with the  “flow”.

When you are using The Dream Activator tool, step one is akin to the energy of winter and we’ll refer to it as Ignite or the period of the inner creative.

So how does this season fit into the process of dream activation or setting a goal? Aren’t goals about deciding then lot’s of doing?

Yes that assumption is somewhat correct – because that’s the way you’ve always known how to set goals. The ready.set.go approach. And for some of us, this works most of the time.

I say most of the time, because typically what happens is a few weeks or months after we begin, our energy fluctuates, our emotions get the better of us or life happens and we lose consistency.

What makes this process radically different?

When your goals are chosen from a place that is more deeply connected with you, when things get hard, we have a chance to pause and reconnect with why it’s important to us.

This is why phase one, is all about you.

By capturing the energy of Winter, a time when we naturally slow down – we can become more intimate with our dreams.

We decide what it is we want to create and we declare it.

Step one is…

A blank page, new beginnings, unlimited possibility, planting seeds, intention, brainstorm

In this step, we allow ourselves the space to explore ideas without limitation.

BUT if do we feel any sense of limitation, I promise to give you tools to learn why. Even in myself, I’ve noticed my emotion can be all over the place when I allow myself space to freely dream. One minute excited, heart racing next minute doubt.

It is important that we create a safe environment to allow this to unfold.

From here we learn to create goals that feel more connected to who we truly are, before we race out and start striving towards them. This is a period of nurturing the goal, of getting clear on all the possibilities, how it could look and feel.

At the end of Step One, you’ll have an opportunity to declare your goal by sharing it in our Facebook group for fellow dream activators. This is a vital part of turning your dream into a reality.

And that is what you’ll expect in step one.

The beauty of the Dream Activator process is that when we finish we get to repeat the cycle. Likewise, if we go off track or abandon the goal, we can come back to step one, reset our intention and start again.

Maybe the way you have set goals has worked until now, but doesn’t feel entirely like you anymore. If you’re ready to do things differently, then you might like to try something new.

As you can see, The Dream Activator truly is THE best launch pad for your goals in 2019.

This four-part, self-guided course will have you start taking action on your dream in just 28 days. To find out more click the button below.

This is your opportunity to make things you love, do things you love, with ease.

Why these 10 things created an unforgettable year

January 5, 2018

The New Year is a beautiful thing.

Our conversations are ablaze with ideas on improving/upgrading/changing/developing/forming/shifting…

Gears…Speed…Habits…Goals….Body…Diet…Health…Relationship…Career…Home…Country

This is my year we say.

I’m ready, I’ve got this…

The natural tendency of the creative and intelligent women (that is you by the way), is to look forward, evolve, grow, be better year after year.

Our “stop doing list” is an essential element of this process (you can learn what this is here).

But what if we chose easy? the simple route?

Easy feels good doesn’t it?

Easy is actually OK believe it or not.

One easy option, take stock of what worked, what brought you joy – and do more of that.

Ask yourself – when did I choose powerfully? when did I say “hell yes” to that thing…and it paid off (or is expected to very soon…).

Don’t set your goals until you answer this question

December 28, 2017
As the New Year dawns, talk of kick ass goals fill our conversations with friends and family.

It occurred to me recently, that there is one (or may be two) steps before we get to the actual goal setting part.

I’m sure you’ve heard it before – the ol’ chicken before the egg.

Perhaps you have an idea of what you want to achieve already – perfect! But let’s keep these as ideas, dreams and visions for now.

Don’t stop partaking in the flow of idea generation, it’s a beautiful place to be.

…Alas, I digress, before you go anywhere near a pen and paper and start cementing your goals, I want you to ask yourself one very important question:

Who am I going to need to be in order to go after my 2018 goals?

Two important thoughts on doing work that matters

December 20, 2017

This time of year typically brings up a lot of reflection for me.

You too lovely?

In between the last minute rush, deadlines, drinks and end-of-year lunches we might find ourselves asking some big questions. Like…

“what am I going to do in 2018 to make an impact?”

Deep question yes, somewhat scary yes.

It is important we zoom the lens out now and again. See our lives within the context of the bigger picture – your community, your work, your relationships…

Doing work that matters doesn’t mean you have to go crazy, it can begin with one simple thing…

Generosity.

This time of year is primed with opportunities to lead with generosity. And they don’t need to be monetary at all. Time, love, attention are all incredibly generous acts.

But beyond the holiday season I want you to consider this:

Could we see radical changes in the world if we all stood outside our comfort zones, to serve the needs of others in innovative ways?

…to spend our time on this planet doing work that matters.

In this week’s video, I wanted to share my thoughts on this very BIG concept…

and because this is a BIG concept…

you might be thinking “where do I start?”

Why detoxing your life will make goal setting a dream (plus 5 actions to take now)

January 18, 2017

Today I wanted to share with you a short and sweet video on something I recently did. Being new year and all, and I call it a ‘life detox’. A sort of spring clean of the non essentials!

So why do I call it a life detox?

A life detox is super important for anyone who is itching to lay down some killer goals but feel like they’ve got all these things in the way of doing it.

Chances are your physical clutter is what’s creating those ‘blocking’ feelings that are stopping you for getting stuck in.

A life detox is simply:

…a collection of actions we do to create space, clarity and more JOY in our lives.

As Marie Kondo says in her book the Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up –

“A dramatic reorganisation of the home causes dramatic changes in lifestyle and perspective. It is life transforming”

WOW!

So, why you do it?

Many of us will be in full swing of setting intentions, creating goals and planning for 2017.

BUT

Before we get too carried away with goals, to do lists and strategies, from now on, I will always recommend you perform a life detox.

Just like a detox that we might do with our diet – detoxing your life (which encompasses your possessions and spaces), we are aiming for a feeling of lightness, of possibility and some big fat clarity.

By taking action with our physical space, we are removing unwanted distractions to increase productivity, creativity, and create dedicated space and time for rituals & habits that will bring long term reward.

The big fat bonus – we will have less to keep tidy and everything we use in our home has purpose, is of quality, has a function and brings us JOY.

So here are my 5 actions you can start today, in no particular order:

//   Follow the Life Changing Magic of Tidying Up process – one category at a time (not area of the house), books & magazines, clothing, linen, kitchen utensils. Book in enough time that you are able to complete one category before moving on to the next. This next step is just as important. Find resources to: a) give it away or help someone or something in need or b) sell it. Don’t just take the items to another room or your garage for a rainy day!

//   Clear and create your workstation – scan paperwork/receipts to a digital format and reduce down any necessary paperwork. Add some greenery, crystals a candle and inspirational images. Make your workspace a pleasurable place to be!

//   Reduce you screen time to allow you to focus on the fun stuff: Open your inbox and unsubscribe like a mofo. Chances are you open an email and delete it straight away. I do this regularly to ensure I’m only getting the inputs I really need. Second thing you can do is buy yourself a real alarm clock – this is my favourite and I can honestly say that this one action alone has radically changed my life. Third thing, set ‘no screen’ zones in the house (#1 should be the bedroom) and create agreed power down times – a time of day when all mobiles and laptops are put away.

//   Create a dedicated meditation or yoga space: this doesn’t have to be a separate room but having your essentials on hand or in a dedicated area of the house. Some of my favourite essentials include: a yoga mat, crystals, music, bolster, timer etc.

//   Desire Mapping! Why? because knowing how you want to feel and what success looks like to you makes goal setting utterly pleasurable. The first four actions were primarily related to spaces and possessions, but this one is about sifting through all the ways  we could feel about specific areas of our life. This process has literally changed my whole entire view of success, goal setting and the no.1 thing I do before I set any goals.

Pop on over to my resources page to find out more about The Desire Map.

There are SO many life areas we could dive into today, but these are just a few of the essentials to get you started and have you feeling clearer, calmer and a little more joyful.

Beautiful, do you feel called to come together and create a deeper connection to yourself, your career and your relationships?

Good news is that connection already exists within you. Right now you’re not sure how to go deeper? Then let’s do it together, fully supported.
