When you are doing what you love, the response is visceral
I asked a simple question of my tribe a couple of weeks ago as part of a 7 Days to Clarity challenge. The response – so much more than I was expecting.
That simple question read:
What makes you feel alive?
As the comments filled up below, I could feel the positive energy radiating from each and every one as they shared their stories. They were words of the soul, filled with raw, unadulterated joy.
As the next couple of weeks drifted by something interesting unfolded, typically when I was engaged in coaching conversations.
The truth: when we are doing what we love, the response felt is visceral – almost outer body if you will. And for some I was with, this wasn’t even being in the act of doing what they loved, just by simply uttering what they loved they were moved.
Kinda feels like an orgasm in your heart.
And what woman wouldn’t want that on a regular basis?
Sometimes we mistake these bodily responses with fear, and we quickly retract as if we’ve exposed ourselves. Flooded with thoughts of ‘what will they think of me?’, ‘that’s not possible’ or ‘I’m thinking too big’.
Trust me darling, when you feel it, I feel it too. When you feel joy, I feel your joy.
I’m pretty sure it was Danielle LaPorte who shattered me with the truthbomb:
‘Joy is sexy’
When you work with me one on one, I wish for you exactly this. I wish for you to radiant so strongly that everyone is attracted to you.
