What is soulful living?
“Constant racing for success creates habitual and unconscious goal-setting. We need to re-learn how to move toward our dreams—with the trust and well-placed devotion” – Danielle LaPorte.
Success, we all crave it at some point in our lives – success in our job, our relationships, that first half marathon or mastering that yoga post or perhaps a new business venture. But many of these goals and objects of desire are driven by the external, a need to fit in, to feel we are enough. So let me ask you this – what if you no longer had goals in your life? What would life be like?
Alas, I am not anti-goals, they are a catalyst for action, for kicking our bum into gear when we need it. They create markers in the sand along our life journey – but like anything in sand we can’t hold on to them, they could be washed away at any time.
It is the foundation for these markers or goals – the heart – that we should nurture first. After all, without these goals, this is what we are left with. This is where we begin with Soulful living, creating practices and rituals that allow us to understand what lights us up. What feels really, really good.
If this sounds like something you would like to learn more about then I would love you to join me in my upcoming workshop: The Art of Self Care on the 28th May.
*** Second workshop announced – refer to events page for more detail ***
Can’t wait to see you all there.
