Girl Crush – Introducing Nadia Felsch

November 3, 2014

We admit it, we have a Girl Crush on this beauty – Nadia Felsch.

You may recall we recently featured one of Nadia’s amazing recipes – the Kale, Avocado & Quinoa (beauty) salad and today we are excited to dive a little more into the world of this conscious beauty.

A Conscious Beauty’s thoughts on Nadia:

The moment you meet Nadia, you can’t help but be taken by that beautiful smile and warm heart. Ruby was blessed with the opportunity to connect with Nadia through lululemon athletica in Sydney, and from that moment on (and a kale salad or two) the girl crush was born!

A Conscious Beauty agrees – the way in which Nadia interacts with her online community and in person through her events, is all from a very authentic place. She educates from personal experience, sharing about her own relationship with food and the ways she has restored her sense of self-love. Nadia is an inspiring soul, who has taken her new found love and now career to the world.

We are extremely excited to see what the future holds for this beauty. And now from the leading lady herself…

Tell us about your brand’s vision:

My brand (and me) are all about educating, empowering and inspiring. It’s a destination for health, fitness and wellbeing, where the message is all about living your best life and being your best self.

From eating as nature made it, not the factory, to moving your body with kindness as opposed to violence and vitally learning how to listen to your own instincts and create a life full of energy and joy.

The goal of my brand is to bring my philosophy of optimal health to all women. To offer support and the guiding message that you can eat well, look good and feel great without being chained to your scales or the kitchen. That loving yourself is part of that journey as well as being open to learning all that you can along the way.

What makes your brand unique? What are ‘must-haves’ for your brand?

I do! My brand is me. It’s my life and unique experiences. Embedded into every blog post, infused in each recipe and aligned with all the words that I share is the journey that I have been (and am) on.

My journey is flawed just like me and by sharing this truth, I offer unique and open truths that inspire and empower. That you can live the life that you deserve no matter where you are now.

My must-have is being genuine and that truth is dripping from all that I do. This quality is the way in which my community connects with me, I am real and relatable so if I can do something so can you!

What is your favourite way to nourish your soul?

To spend time with those that I love, listening, sharing and laughing. No matter what’s going for me, this kind of nourishment never fails to open me up all whilst being uplifting and inspiring.

What are you most grateful for in your life?

My strong sense of self that has served me well and become the defining quality of how I choose to live my life. Knowing and believing in my instincts and emotions when challenges arise and when my path is questioned enables me to feel gratitude and true awareness along the way

What has been your greatest ah-ha moment/turning point in your life to date?

It goes back a fair way though it was sitting outside work on a lunch break 10 years ago. Talking to my then-boyfriend, I realised that my life wasn’t what I wanted. I could actually see into the future from that bench and knew that the path I was on wasn’t the one for me. Within one month, the relationship ended, I stopped smoking, started taking better care of myself and dare I say really living.

How do you live consciously? / Any tips for living consciously?

Breathe. Look up at the sky. Take a moment to really see the world.

When you remember to, give these a go and relish in their awesomeness. Each moment is just that – it’s here and then it’s gone. Moments are what make up our lives so don’t go missing them or wishing them away longing for the future and thinking about the past.

How do you give back/support others?

By observing the world that I live in and catering my talents to support what I see and hear.

Whether that’s checking in with the friend having a rough time with annoyingly cute emoji messages each morning because she’s not up to talking or cooking double and sharing with my mum who works late nights.

Every single day I share inspiration, recipes and valuable content with my growing community and this giving back has been the most rewarding experience for me – I simply love it!

What does it mean to be authentically you?

It means being silly, intense, an open book and devoted all at the same time. It means walking my unique path and really owning it.

On my website this has translated to the absolute raw and unabashed honesty that I represent there. I share the good and the not so good in order to encourage and inspire.
