Girl Crush – Introducing Jessica Sepel

September 15, 2014

Jess Clean Life 2

We admit it, we have a Girl Crush on this beauty – Jessica Sepel!

Jess is a qualified nutritionist, a wellness coach and a health blogger. She is the creator of JessicaSepel.com and the author of ‘The Clean Life’. She’s a beautiful soul who started on this journey by healing herself after years of poor body image and torturing herself. She believes that good nutrition and a positive lifestyle are core on your path to achieving great health.

In dealing with Jess and her team, what stood out for A Conscious Beauty was that she shared our desire to educate, support and promote a healthy lifefstyle.

Katherine’s thought on Jess:

As someone who has had issues with her own body image, I love how honest Jess is about her past. I appreciate the journey she has come on to reach where she is today. Her site is beautiful, she is beautiful and we’re thrilled to have worked with her on this post!

Ruby’s thought on Jess:

I’m totally with Katherine, Jess is the real deal, she is not only glowing and gorgeous on the outside, her message speaks from the heart – a truly authentic babe in our eyes! I have been following Jess for a while on social media and although are yet to meet her in person I have loved watching her journey as a health coach, building a successful business which was topped off by the release of her book this year – The Clean Life.

And now, from the beauty Jessica Sepel herself:

Tell us about your brand’s vision:

It’s always exciting to connect with other professionals in the industry, but overall I’m thrilled continue guiding the community toward their own health and wellness. If I can impact and inspire just one person, then it is an amazing day! I’d love to continue to share my message with even more people as the shift towards wellness expands. I would love to work with a publisher to release more books, and I also have dreams of starting an active wear brand!

What makes your brand unique and what are ‘must-haves’ for your brand?

Through social media, it all happened quite organically. I rely primarily on my blog, Facebook and Instagram to share thoughts and recipes, and this has also been the platform I’ve used to sell my e-books The Clean Life and The JSHealth Detox Plan. My biggest ‘must-have,’ though, is being myself. People can always tell when you’re genuine, and that’s the only way to connect.

How do you give back / support others?

One of the primary ways I try to give back is through my work. I started JSHealth to share the nutrition knowledge I was gaining, and I quickly realized there are so many people out there struggling with similar issues. I want JSHealth to be a safe place to learn about nutrition and how to treat your body like the beautiful gift it is.

What has been your greatest ah-ha moment in your life to date?

When I realized that I had the ability to change my life through proper nutrition and self-care. I began to feel myself come alive! Through my self-healing, I began telling myself I was worth it; I was capable of helping other people on their own journey to health. I realized I could have a career where I would wake up each day and feel excited about what I was doing. Through my work with clients and now with the release of my books, my dreams are truly manifesting into reality!

What is your favourite way to nourish your soul?

Through meditation and writing in my gratitude journal. It helps me to relax, focus, and center myself.

What are you most grateful for in your life?

Family is everything to me. My darling partner is my rock and so much more. My parents are incredible mentors and role models, and my two sisters have given constant support and encouragement – especially when I was battling myself. I’m fortunate to have a vibrant, loving extended family. We love any excuse to get together and celebrate, usually with a big, healthy, homemade meal.

How do you live consciously?

I slow down and focus on being present. When I slow down I am more present in my own life. Nothing scares me more than watching my life pass me by. When I slow down and focus on the inside, I take better care of my body. When I slow down I am able to think more clearly and work more efficiently. When I slow down, my body heals itself. When I slow down, the blessings of my life become very clear. We all need to slow down.

What does it mean to be authentically you?

I truly believe in being honest, real and genuine. That means putting myself out there, for better or worse, because it’s all part of my story.
