Girl Crush – Introducing Cassie Mendoza-Jones
We admit it, we have a Girl Crush on this beauty – Cassie Mendoza-Jones.
A Conscious Beauty’s thoughts on Cassie:
Well what can we say about Cassie? This radiant beauty has been on our crush list for a long time, inspiring us well before A Conscious Beauty was born. Cassie is undoubtedly a force in the wellness world, who respects the needs and desires of the modern women and what it takes to maintain ‘vitality’ in a busy world.
Cassie’s approach to achieving what she terms ‘body harmony’ is supported by a background in Naturopathy, kinesiology, herbal medicine and nutrition – that’s one talented young lady!
We love absolutely love Cassie’s approach, she is on your team, she has your wellbeing at heart and you just have to read her testimonials to know that she is the real deal. Today we are privileged to add Cassie to our list of amazing ‘girl crushes’.
And now from the beauty herself:
Tell us about your brand’s vision:
I have my main brand and business, Elevate Vitality, which offers 1:1 kinesiology + naturopathy consulting, as well as online classes, courses, webinars and eBooks… and more recently, a new branch of Elevate Vitality, called the Body Harmony Society (which launches in mid-November!)
Elevate Vitality is all about helping women let go of limiting beliefs, fears and worrying thoughts which consume them, guide them on how to stop burning out, how to reconnect with their inner wisdom and how to look after themselves in the best way they know how.
My new concept, the Body Harmony Society, is all about helping women find freedom and harmony in their own skin. It’s something I’ve been working on for months and I’m so proud and excited to release it into the world.
Ultimately, all of my work is about freedom and harmony.
What makes your brand unique? What are ‘must-haves’ for your brand?
My brand is unique because… I am unique. I spent a good chunk of the first year of my business comparing myself to everyone else… until I realised we all bring something so different and so necessary to the table.
So now everything I do comes from the space of infusing beauty, honesty, integrity and positive intentions into my business. Decisions are made based on intuition and will this be fun, or not?
And when you can do this – when you can stand in your own power and ‘own’ your voice, own your actions and intentions, and have faith that you’re serving your ‘people’ in the best way you know how – then your brand and business becomes unique simply because you’re doing everything from a desire to serve, from a desire to be generous, and from a desire to help people change their worlds.
What is your favourite way to nourish your soul?
An early morning yoga class, then an amazing coffee with the paper or my laptop to get some writing done, or a little stroll down to the beach.
I also love spending a lazy morning with my hubby having breaky in a café… that’s soul nourishment to me.
What are you most grateful for in your life?
Sooo much… I am really so grateful for my life. Mostly… for my amazing, supportive and loving hubby and family, friends who I can be myself with, and my beautiful businesses, as well as my ability to trust my intuition and inner guidance.
What has been your greatest ah-ha moment/turning point in your life to date?
It was earlier in 2014 when I realised I had become addicted to being busy and I was completely burning myself out.
I realised I had to slow down and become un-busy… and really start to look after myself again. It was one of the best and most challenging decisions ever, and it has paid off tenfold in so many beautiful ways.
How do you live consciously? / Any tips for living consciously?
I think making space for ourselves to rest, nourish and heal is so important.
Many of my clients constantly think they have to always and only give to others.
A lot of my 1:1 work with clients revolves around guiding them on how to start looking after themselves properly, releasing all guilt around putting themselves first, and showing them that when they do look after themselves, they actually have so much more to give.
How do you give back & support others?
I hope it’s through my work with my lovely clients… Helping them to see differently, re-discover what they truly want, and what they can say “yes” to… as well as what they say “no” to.
I also support them by giving them guidance (or reminding them to follow their own inner wisdom) to help them get to where they want to be, and release anything that’s keeping them feeling small, stuck or limited.
And of course, I created my online courses, classes, resources and eBooks to help women start nourishing all aspects of their mind, body and spirit in gentle and supportive ways.
What does it mean to be authentically you?
I think it comes down to knowing your worth, and doing everything in your power to look after yourself in the best way you know how.
Being authentically you means you can start to genuinely trust yourself.
You can stop looking for external validation because you know that you have the answers you seek.
Are you ready for more love and support from Cassie? Curious to know more about the Body Harmony Society?
The Society is twofold; Part One is a free eBook guide to cultivating freedom and harmony in your own skin, as well as a carefully curated collection of posts to help you in finding body harmony.
Then in early 2015, the Society is launching a range of life-changing online courses, classes and resources, as a follow on from the eBook guide. They will help busy women find a sense of freedom and harmony in their own skin.
Busy, stressed women don’t want to be overloaded with information, so the platform has been designed so women can start their healing process to body harmony, without feeling overwhelmed with kilos of content.
The Body Harmony Society will uplift your spirit and help you on your journey in finding body harmony and “a state of balance, ease and vitality”… something we all need to find.
