Girl Crush – Introducing Amber Hawken
We admit it, we have a Girl Crush on this beauty – Amber Hawken of Bloom Wellness!
Amber is the firecracker founder of the brand, Bloom Wellness, a gorgeous company and blog dedicated to inspiring people to create a body and a life they love. Amber achieves this through coaching, detox programs, events and awesome articles such as You are F-ing Sexy (yes you are!) and Understand Your Craving and Balance Your Hormones.
In dealing with Amber, what stood out for A Conscious Beauty was that she shared our desire to help and teach people on acceptance with themselves and empower them to push their limits with a healthy dose of no BS and fun as well. She is definitely our kinda of gal!
Katherine’s thought on Amber:
I have been following Amber on Insta for a little while now – I have loved seeing her master certain yoga poses and the progression of her practice. Her posts are also always joyous and she seems like a very real chick that I would be mates with. Brucey bonus is that she’s in the wellness space and kicking a large amount of goals at the same time! I sent her a note letting her know we had a girl crush on her, and the rest is history.
Without further a-do, here’s the feature from the lady herself:
Tell us about your brand’s vision:
The Business Mission statement reveals it all very simply. Revitalise Empower Transform.
Clean the body, the mind and the spirit, educate the person so they are empowered and allow them to transform.
Bloom is an adventurous, transformational, contributing and inspiring company whose purpose is to allow people to create a body and life they love.
The more people that are empowered and are walking, talking products of their own transformations, the more people on the planet that will be influenced, affected and inspired to change their lives.
We hope to leave a stamp on the universe that sets a dent in illness and disease and emotional and spiritual suffering.
What makes your brand unique and what are ‘must-haves’ for your brand?
My only must is to be authentic, honest and passionate. We must remain true to our values. Beyond the value of true health and holistic approaches to imbalances in our bodies and minds – the actual values of the brand reflect my personal ones which are :
How do you give back / support others?
I guess it is something I have naturally done and that is why I am in the industry of empowering people. I share anything I learn about life openly and passionately as a living. I love giving back.
Giving is living – I also sponsor children in Cambodia – because I can.
What has been your greatest ah-ha moment in your life to date?
That money does not = success and success in business/money does not = happiness.
People don’t see the world how it is, they see the world how they are. Happiness comes when you are happy with you.
What is your favourite way to nourish your soul?
Ohh this one is a tough one. Honestly, it’s time with my better half, Espen Hjalmby. Soul nourishment in my mind is love. Mediation = concentration and I believe the reason we exist is to find a balance between love and our head. So being present with the love of my life is really focusing on love. Second to him is meditation/yoga and then – adventure!
What are you most grateful for in your life?
Oh such hard questions ha. Gratitude is one of my top 3 values in life. Without gratitude there is fear. I am grateful for every mistake I have made and any suffering that I endured that made me who I am today.
How do you live consciously?
My alarm is meditation music in the morning, I get up right away and start with at least 20 minutes minimum 4 out of 7 days. I breathe through my stomach as often as I remember. Star gaze. Contribute to those with less. I concentrate on my 6 senses after meditation, just those for as long as I like, really getting in touch with my body and my surrounds.
What does it mean to be authentically you?
This Is probably one of my stand outs as a coach and brand. Authenticity changes constantly depending on how much of your life you are taking responsibility for.
I love what I do because it projects me.
I feel free in what I say and who I am. I don’t worry about what others would say and think because I am lucky enough to understand that peoples opinions are simply a reflection of themselves. So really we are never judged by anyone but ourselves. The secret is loving yourself, accepting who you are.
